Economic development and company analysis

There you have Danske Hoteller, with the exception of the years 2009-2011 and 2020, had positive operating results. The difficulty in the years listed was due in particular to the general financial crisis and the corona epidemic. However, the group has in all years been able to achieve a positive cash flow, even in the million range, and the share capital has been significantly strengthened in the same period by new shares being subscribed.

Thus, the share capital from 2009 has increased by more than DKK 15 million. DKK, while equity has increased by around DKK 100 million. Despite the crisis, it has even succeeded in expanding the group's business area. In 2009, we had 12 hotels, and we now operate 26 hotels throughout Denmark, and we expect the development to continue.

The strength of the group is primarily that we consist of small local units. Each unit is its own profit center with its own management, which, however, jointly with the other hotel managements ensures joint utilization of the group's size by e.g. joint purchasing, joint marketing, joint IT and management systems, etc.

In recent years, the Group has invested heavily in the development of common systems in a large number of areas. Especially in sales and IT as well as purchasing, these investments have had a positive effect on the Group's development. We will continue this development in the future and, as a result, have set aside significant funds for this.

The group is organized into 3 regions, each with its own regional director who is responsible for a number of hotels. These directors simultaneously handle the top management function for the company together with sales, IT, operational optimization and integration and the chairman of the board. This provides the necessary breadth in the decision-making process, while operations have the decisive influence on management decisions.

The group's size also strengthens the possibility of advancement for the staff, as we most often fill management positions internally. We have good experience with internal recruitment, as these employees are already familiar with our systems and workflows, as well as the set of values we work towards. We work with targeted leadership training and have developed our own leadership development program.
